There are Latinas all over the world and in our own communities doing important and amazing work.  So many of them go unnoticed.  We occasionally get a glimpse at the work they do through mainstream media and social networks, but it isn’t enough.  The example that these trailblazing Latinas set is critical to the development of our young girls.  They must be able to see themselves in their accomplishments and community-changing initiatives to encourage more positive change for their generation and on. For that to happen, Latinas doing the hard work of transforming communities must be made more visible.

ELLA helps to highlight Latina challenges and successes by featuring them on our platforms.  We want to learn from them how they got to where they are.  We do not just relay the success, but any barriers and challenges they encountered along the way.  We want to uncover the practical journey they took, revealing practical advice about how their efforts evolved, and bring it within reach for other Latinas to realize for themselves.  Check out our Latina Innovators here, our podcast and on each of our social media platforms.
